Abdullah Gül University (AGU) launched a unique application called 'Non-Academic Transcript' (NAT) in Turkish and world universities. With this transcript, various competencies of the students such as communication skills, social skills and teamwork will be documented, and they will be given as a separate official document in addition to their academic diplomas when they graduate. Thus, "Non-Academic Transcript" will be a reference for students' internship and business life.
The 'Non-Academic Transcript' project, which will be implemented for the first time in Turkish and World Universities, was developed by the AGU Dean of Students and Youth Factory by a team including students.
Activities such as social activities, organizations, projects, domestic and international activities that students participate in throughout their university life will be observed. By creating a database, the data to be obtained will be archived. By making use of the archived information, a unique document with a separate content will be prepared for each student, showing the basic competencies developed by the students during the higher education process and which activities they gained by participating in.
As a result of these observations, students' social skills will be measured according to some predetermined criteria and the results will be included in this transcript. The university-approved 'Non-Academic Transcript' that students will present with their diplomas while they are doing their internship or graduating and entering the business life will make a significant contribution to them both to do their internship wherever they want and to find a more suitable job for them as a reference.
The 'Non-Academic Transcript' will also help companies reach the qualified employees they are looking for. Today, employers seek individuals with different skills and prefer individuals with advanced skills such as teamwork, communication skills and social skills. In this sense, the 'Non-Academic Transcript' will form a document of the student's work. This transcript will be a document approved by the university in the form of a reliable document, containing the competencies gained by the students, and will provide an advantage to the students in terms of presenting a concrete document to the employers.
The implementation of the 'Non-Academic Transcript', which has been meticulously studied, continues and is given to AGU graduates along with their diploma and academic transcript.
