THE OFFICE OF THE DEAN OF STUDENTS

The aim of the Dean of Students is to contribute to the cultural and social development of our students in addition to their academic studies, and to produce quick solutions to the problems they may encounter. The Dean of Students coordinates the units that will support the students' adaptation to academic studies and campus life at the university.

The activities carried out by the Dean of Students for the social, professional and personal development of students after it was founded in 2014 are as follows:

  • The University Integration Program covers informative meetings about important units at the university, with the rector and faculty professors, promotion of clubs and student council, university tour, meeting and socializing activities.

  • Establishment of clubs and follow-up of activities: studies on the establishment and activities of clubs, which make a great contribution to the social and personal development of students, are followed. We currently have 40 clubs actively organizing events. In addition, 'AGU Club Fest' was held with the participation of all clubs in the spring semesters.

  • Student Council Elections: Student representatives are elected in democratic environments with the participation of students. During the year, student problems are discussed and solutions are produced through regular meetings with the student council.

  • Psychological Counseling and Guidance Office: Our Psychological Counseling Center provides individual counseling services to students on every subject throughout the year.

  • Non-Academic Transcript: One of the most important goals of AGU is for students to be very active in non-academic activities besides their academic studies. In order to achieve this goal, a study is started to record the competencies gained in extracurricular activities, and it is documented that they can contribute to the society, the city and the region they live in, which will increase the accumulation of young people. We document the achievements that the young people will need in their job applications and in the employment of the business and industry world.
